I have to admit, I lost sight of the acknowledgements over the past several weeks.  So lets get this back on track so CK doesnt have to demand more “Hats Off” in the future. Hats Off!  To the NHLPA?  Yes, the past week has seen the NHLPA formed a 4 man committee to investigate, review, and evaluate the actions and operations of the NHLPA executive committee.  This comes on the heels...

Its hard to believe the 2009-2010 season is upon us already.  Great first weekend of action and its time to for our weekly edition of “Hats Off”.   Hats Off!  To Mats Sundin and his glorious 18 year career.   Mats announced his retirement this week after 18 seasons with 3 different teams.  Over his illustrious career, Mats racked up 564 goals and 785 assists for 1349 points in...

OVECHKIN, MALKIN PUSH THE 2014 OLYMPIC ISSUE
  “The NHL has no commitment to take part in the Olympics past the upcoming Winter Games in Vancouver in February, and commissioner Gary Bettman has intimated that it is likely that the Vancouver games will be the final Olympics which the NHL sends athletes.
