NEW STARS IN THE POST LOCKOUT WORLD
The year is 2009, the state of the National Hockey League, admittedly still very much in flux; yet there is much to be optimistic about especially the new crop of young players who have debuted in the past few years. As Rob Cigan writes, too much face time is given, perhaps, to Pen’s star Sidney Crosby while other stars are ignored. I essentially agree with this, however, where our two points...

BOSTON MASSACRE - COULD INJURIES CRIPPLE THE BRUINS SEASON?
With the devastating news Tuesday that Bruins star Marc Savard (7pts,+1) broke his left foot coming just two days removed from Milan Lucic’s (3pts,+2) broken finger which required surgery the Bruins (3-4-0) could be falling in a tailspin. The first seven games of the season have been exceptionally poor for the Boston club considering the expectations heading into the season. Now with their best...

HOCKEY TRADE RUMORS: IS KOVALCHUK HEADED TO THE HUB ?
Coming off a road trip which saw one great performance, a 3-0 victory in Dallas, and one awful performance, 4-1 loss in Phoenix, the Boston Bruins (3-4-0) made a couple big roster moves. One of those moves is the result of injury.  Young budding star Milan Lucic (3pts,+2) broke a finger Friday in Dallas and will be out a minimum 10 games, or 24 calendar days after being placed on long-term injury...

PRE GAME ANALYSIS: BRUINS vs STARS
Tonight at 7PM EST the Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars are scheduled to play.  Each team is in a precarious situation through the first few games played. Boston (2-3-0) is in need of a strong outing by their defending Vezina trophy winning goaltender Tim Thomas who in his first three outings allowed 12 goals on route to a 1-2 record in those games.  For the Bruins to win this game and turn around...
