This is the 1st Annual NHL Hockey Trade Value column.  This list features the top 50 NHL players in terms of their value on the trade market within rules that will be outlined in a couple of moments. It’s always tough ranking players because there are certain qualities that cannot be measured by just pure statistics. The 23rd of December could go down as the night the Senators 2009-10 season was ruined. The 8-2 loss to Pittsburgh was a stinger, but the loss of Captain Daniel Alfredsson may end up being the nail in the coffin.
