TSN staff reports that the new Coyotes bidder Ice Edge Holdings has booked 5 games to be played in Saskatoon, at the Credit Union Centre, should they be awarded the franchise. The five dates are Nov. 12 (Montreal Canadiens), Dec. 21 (Columbus Blue Jackets), Jan. 21 (Nashville Predators), Feb. 8 (Edmonton Oilers), and Mar. 2 (St. Louis Blues).
Ice Edge partner Daryl Jones says, “Our focus to play NHL hockey long-term in Phoenix and we’re in the middle of finalizing the lease (at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Ariz.)” “While we want to bring a limited number of games to a great hockey city like Saskatoon, our long-term commitment is to Phoenix and Glendale.”
You can own an NHL franchise in Phoenix, or you can make millions. Sorry, Daryl, but you cannot do both.

About Robert: The only nightmares Rob has at night, are dreams that don't included hockey. Often at times, you'll catch him staring at nhlnumbers.com, just to make sense of Jason Blake's contract. He loves hockey, plays it, and watches HNIC religiously. He also seems to think he knows it, and thus created this site. |
